Database Systems for Advanced Applications

This collection gathers papers from the workshops held alongside the 19th International Conference on Database Systems for Advanced Applications (DASFAA 2014), which took place in April 2014 in Bali, Indonesia. Each workshop centers on a current research topic in database systems.

The volume brings together four workshops. The Second International Workshop on Big Data Management and Analytics (BDMA 2014) addresses large-scale data handling and analysis. The Third International Workshop on Data Management for Emerging Network Infrastructure (DaMEN 2014) looks at data management in new network environments. The Third International Workshop on Spatial Information Modeling, Management and Mining (SIM³ 2014) covers location-based data. The DASFAA Workshop on Uncertain and Crowdsourced Data (UnCrowd 2014) focuses on imprecise data and data gathered from crowds.
