David & Della

Stuck and unable to finish a play, David Mahooley is a teenage writer searching for inspiration. He meets Della, an actress whose larger-than-life personality hides a drinking problem and an unreliable relationship with the truth. As David gets pulled into her circle, he begins to see how dangerous her charm can be.

Paul Zindel, a playwright who also wrote several well-known young adult novels such as The Pigman, wrote this story for teen readers. It explores creativity, self-discovery and the pull of an intense, unpredictable friendship.
