Dawn in Eclipse Bay

Dawn in Eclipse Bay is the second book in Jayne Ann Krentz's Eclipse Bay trilogy, set in a small town on the Oregon coast where two families have been at odds for generations. Months have passed since a Madison and a Harte married, but the old feud hasn't gone away, and peace between the clans is far from settled.

Lilian Harte runs a matchmaking service, and one of her clients is Gabe Madison, a successful CEO who pushed his way onto her roster. Five dates later, none of them has gone well, and Lilian is out of patience. She has already decided to shut down the business and return to Eclipse Bay, and Gabe's behavior only confirms she is making the right call.

Gabe has other plans. He turns up at her door and insists she honor the contract he signed, and what began as a business dispute quickly becomes something more personal. With a determined Madison and a charming Harte now squared off, Eclipse Bay is about to watch another round of its oldest rivalry.
