Deadly Deceit

Tom Grant was hired to guard Max Morgan, an international pop star, and to train a new recruit at the same time. On paper it sounds simple, but the job quickly spirals as Max's hidden secrets begin to surface and a dangerous former adversary returns.

Tom's new trainee, James Moore, is a former navy dropout with an arrogant streak, and Tom cannot stand him. James has a job of his own: uncover what took place in Paris and pin the murder of Jack Ford on Tom. As Max's inner struggles grow harder to hide, Tom has to confront his own past and the weight of everything he has been held responsible for.

The story asks whether Tom can outmaneuver James, protect Max from his own worst instincts, and stay ahead of his arch-nemesis, Kat Ivanov.
