Deadly Divine

Terrence "Trouble" Rubble is a pessimistic biker who has been running from his own history, and he carries both physical and emotional injuries. Still, loyalty comes before everything else for him, so when a friend he has known for years asks for help guarding a young girl, he agrees.

The job goes wrong almost at once. Before he has finished looking over the house, a deadly gunfight breaks out and the girl is snatched away by ruthless kidnappers. Trouble follows them to a walled-off compound high in New Mexico's remote mountains, where he finds a twisted cult led by a leader and a circle of believers who show no fear of dying. As a lone drifter, he doubts anyone will walk out of the confrontation alive. Can one solitary outlaw rescue an innocent child in the middle of a storm of gunfire?

The Deadly Divine is the third standalone installment in the Trouble series of thrillers, and its tone is hard-edged. Readers who enjoy protagonists who refuse to back down, fast-moving action, and a streak of dark humor will find this grim, violent story by Matthew Doggett to their liking.
