Dear Child

A woman held captive in a windowless shack deep in the woods finally gets away, but reaching safety does not end her trouble. She introduces herself as Lena, a girl who vanished fourteen years ago without a trace. Her appearance matches the missing child, down to a distinctive scar, yet her relatives insist she is not the daughter they lost.

The little girl who came out of the woods with her is holding back what she knows. Lena's father, still grieving, is trying to assemble a picture from facts that refuse to line up.

Lena wants a fresh start, but she senses that the man who held her still wants to reclaim something he considers his. She may not be free until the full truth about what happened in the woods comes to light.
