Dear Teacher,

This picture book is written as a letter of thanks to the adults who guide young people, including teachers, coaches, leaders, role models, mentors and heroes. It recognises those who help children feel free to be themselves and push through the challenges they face while growing up.

Paris Rosenthal wrote the text and Holly Hatam illustrated the book. Rosenthal is also the author of Dear Girl and Dear Boy, and this title carries the same tender spirit as those books. The pictures and words work together to express appreciation for teachers of every kind.

The book suits back-to-school season, National Teachers' Day, Teacher Appreciation Week and the last day of school. It is also a good choice for readers who loved Because I Had a Teacher and want a new gift to give.
