Deep Space Boogie

Humanity came out on top of a long war against a merciless enemy, having survived an alien onslaught that nearly wiped the species out. In the aftermath, people and the former alien insurgents who had fought alongside them formed a coalition, and the work of rebuilding began.

Then a mysterious ship appeared from deep space and fired on a survey crew without warning. Earth and its allies suddenly faced an adversary no one had encountered, and they had almost no information about it. Put on high alert and desperate for intelligence, they hastily assembled a ragtag crew and sent them into the unknown to hunt the attackers down.

Things quickly went wrong. An unstable warp threw the ship far off course and left the crew stranded in a remote corner of the galaxy, with no reinforcements and no way to call for help. Out there, they soon sensed they were not the only ones present.

This is a series opener in the form of a short novella. The Deep Space Boogie Bundle collects the first two Warp Riders books.
