Demon Rumm

Kirsten Rumm considers the plan a promotional gimmick she could do without. She is writing a book about her late husband, Demon Rumm, a daredevil who performed aerial stunts, and a movie is being made from it. The studio wants the film's star, Rylan North, to stay at her beachfront home, and though she resents the intrusion, she agrees for the sake of the project.

Rylan is a bad-boy actor, and Kirsten insists she is immune to his appeal, even though every other woman would envy her position. His easy warmth and magnetism pull at her, yet she reminds herself that charming audiences is his profession. Why, she wonders, would a man who can have anyone seem so intent on winning her over?

Rylan decides the moment he meets Kirsten that she is the woman he has been waiting for. He sees a wounded past in her blue eyes and resolves to uncover the tragedy that keeps her from a second chance at love, even if the search costs him his reputation, his career and his life. First, though, he must get her to trust her instincts and to see the real man behind the movie star.
