Lucy Tanaka is creative, loves fashion, and was delighted when Chloe Silver moved to town. Lucy, Chloe and Theo Barnes started the Kindness Club, a trio that experiments with different good deeds on friends, neighbors and brothers and sisters. Then Lucy hears that a classmate, Serena, recently lost her mother, and that Serena's birthday is just a week away. Lucy is set on cheering her up. Her plan is to get the whole club working together on a birthday party at her family's bowling alley, one Serena will never forget.
