Deuteronomy

Set on the eve of Israel's crossing into Canaan, Deuteronomy is presented as a speech that stands at a threshold, a book that looks both back and forward. Edward J. Woods examines the wide scope of its outlook and explains how its audience was urged to let its teaching shape the way they understood their own history in the territory east of the Jordan River.

This volume is a new commentary in the Tyndale series, replacing the earlier edition on Deuteronomy by J. A. Thompson.
