Different Like Me

Wilson Highstep is a small dog whose daily mishaps, loosely drawn from the author's own dog, carry him from one surprising escapade to the next, sometimes quite literally through the air. As he grows up, he comes to see that the things that set him apart may be the best things that have happened to him. He is joined by a new friend, Ellie, and together they face ordinary problems with humor and heart, learning that being different can be a gift. The illustrated book includes more than twenty photographs of Wilson's real life. The author plans later editions that follow Wilson and Ellie as they grow and pick up a new life lesson in each one.
