Dinner Before Dessert

Picture a dinner table where a cookie is calling your name while the broccoli refuses to budge. Ryan Preziosi, a father himself, knows this standoff well, and that familiarity shapes this story. Its message is simple: the meal comes first, and dessert waits until the plate is clear.

With humor and playful wordplay, the book shows young readers why fruits and vegetables earn their place before cake, cookies or ice cream. Its cheerful illustrations keep the lesson light, making it a good choice for reading aloud at bedtime.
