Diprotodon

A young diprotodon sets out to work out where he belongs among the animals of his time. Readers are carried back to the Ice Age to see the landscape he moves through and the giant creatures that shared it with him.

His journey brings him face to face with other megafauna, and he must cope with hardships from both his surroundings and the animals around him. Richly detailed illustrations bring the setting and its inhabitants to life.

The diprotodon was the largest marsupial ever to have lived. The book explores the megafauna that roamed the Pleistocene era, from 2.6 million to 11,700 years ago. It is recommended for ages 6 to 9, though reading levels vary from child to child.
