Dog Friendly

Morgan Pearce is a veterinarian on the edge of burnout, worn out by long hours and feeling that her hard work goes unnoticed. When two longtime clients ask her to look after their elderly dog, who has special needs, at their home on Nantucket, she grabs the chance for a summer away, hoping the island will help her recharge.

Her plans get complicated once she agrees to foster a difficult, anxious dog and to help organize the local rescue group's yearly fundraiser. Things become more interesting when she starts falling for Nathan Keating, a charming entrepreneur who believes surfing can solve almost any problem.

For a while, the summer looks like the fresh start she needs. A romance that feels like it could last and Hudson, the foster dog who reignites her love for her work, make her optimistic. Then a visit from her estranged brother, along with the discovery of Nathan's true identity, turns her world upside down.

Morgan has to decide whether past mistakes must shape her future, or whether she can forgive, move on, and take a chance on saving herself.
