Dominion

Four centuries have passed since people first set foot on Erna when the undead sorcerer Gerald Tarrant heads northward, chasing a rumor. Whispers speak of a forest where the fae has grown so strong that it consumes anyone who wanders inside, and Tarrant intends to find out whether the stories are true.

This novella is a prequel to the Coldfire Trilogy, made up of Black Sun Rising, When True Night Falls and Crown of Shadows. It uncovers part of Tarrant's hidden history, rewarding readers who already know the series, and it also works as a dark entry point for newcomers to this High Fantasy world.
