Drive-By

Jimmy's view of gang life was blunt: those who join either end up dead or are headed there, and he never understood why anyone would sign up. Now Jimmy is the one who is dead, shot down on a sidewalk in front of his younger sister, Mina, and their older brother, Tito. Tito is left with a question he cannot shake. Had Jimmy secretly been in a gang? Two men, Ice Breaker Joe and Lamar, believe so, and they claim Jimmy stole from their drug business. Unless the missing money is returned, they warn, Tito may be the one who pays with his life.

Tito's path seems to be chosen for him when a gang announces that Jimmy was their Ace Man and that Tito must take his brother's place and finish what Jimmy left undone. They press a gun into his hands, insisting he needs it to survive on streets that are not safe. Tito now stands at a crossroads, where one road promises safety and the other leads to death, and he has no way of knowing which is which.
