Easy Fortune

Lena Turner has always stood a little apart from others, and her unusual talents have taught her to rely on herself, especially where men are concerned. In New Orleans she teaches school, keeps her romantic life light, and pours her energy into the small family she has. Settling down has never been part of her plan.

Years ago, Mason Coulter walked away from Lena to chase his career. He persuaded himself that leaving was the right decision and that Lena's welfare was his only motive. Six years later he returns to the city to handle the estate of an eccentric aunt who has died. His goal is simple: finish the paperwork and leave without giving in to the urge to see Lena. His aunt, however, had other arrangements in mind.

Lena never expected Mason to reappear in her life. She could refuse to help him, but she has never managed to say no to him. Her plan is to settle the estate quickly and get Mason out of her life for good. Mason, however, is working toward an agenda of his own. This novel is part of the Boudreaux Series.
