Emma Project

Award-winning author Sonali Dev reimagines Jane Austen's Emma with an Indian-American setting in this romantic comedy series. Vansh Raje seems to have it all. Vogue has named him California's hottest single man, his wealth lets him spend his days on projects aimed at improving the world, and he is backed by a devoted family. Through the first half of his twenties, his cheerful outlook has never been seriously shaken.

Naina Kohli, who goes by Knightlina, is a few years short of forty and has just ended a decade-long pretend relationship with Vansh's brother. She has two goals. The first is to stay as far from the Raje family as possible. The second is to give millions of women in South Asia financial independence through her microfinance foundation, and to show her father that he was wrong about nearly everything.

Just as Naina's plan nears success, Vansh arrives with his ill-advised Emma Project. The two end up competing for the same funding, and Naina has to weigh whether a friends-with-benefits arrangement, as steamy as it is fun, is worth gambling her life's work on.
