Endless Night

Sixteen-year-old Jody Fargo has learned to be resilient, and she will need every bit of that toughness. While staying overnight at a friend's house, she is caught up in a home invasion that ends in the murder of an entire family. Jody manages to flee with a twelve-year-old boy named Andy, and the two are left as the only people who saw what happened.

The killers are a group of young men led by Simon Quirt, who looks like an ordinary person rather than a violent criminal. Now he and his companions have to track down the two survivors before they can be identified. Simon's interest in Jody is more personal and more sinister than simply cleaning up a crime.

Richard Laymon was an American horror writer known for fast-paced, graphic suspense. This novel follows the chase from the victims' point of view and the killers' point of view alike.
