Engineered in India

In 1974 a young man walked out of IIT Kanpur with a dream of becoming an entrepreneur and contributing to nation-building. India had not yet liberalised its economy, and B.V.R. Mohan Reddy had little experience and no easy access to capital. He took a long and winding route without losing sight of his goal. He studied overseas on a scholarship and spent eighteen years in a series of roles before beginning his life's mission at forty.

That mission was Cyient, the company he incorporated, which went on to become a pioneer in outsourced engineering services and introduced the brand 'Engineered in India'.

The book is an account of that entrepreneurial journey, with its highs and lows. It offers readers lessons from his experience to help them shape their own business ambitions and experiments.
