Enna burning

In The Goose Girl, Enna and Princess Isi became close friends. After Isi married Prince Geric, Enna went back to her home in the forest and her simple life. That life changes for good when she discovers she can wield fire and burn anything she chooses.

Enna is sure she can put this power to good use against Tira, the neighboring kingdom that threatens the borders of Bayern. She begins making secret raids to set Tiran camps and villages alight. But as the fire grows stronger, she finds it harder to resist her urge to burn, and her recklessness gets her captured by the Tiran army. Her captor is a handsome, manipulative young captain who drugs her to keep her under his control.

Isi and her old friends Finn and Razo must try to rescue Enna without sacrificing themselves. And with the fire still consuming her, Enna must find a way to manage a gift that could destroy her.

Enna Burning is the second book in Shannon Hale's Books of Bayern, following The Goose Girl.
