About this book
This volume gathers the papers presented at the eighth FICTA conference, the International Conference on Frontiers of Intelligent Theory and Applications, held in 2020. The conference gave academics, engineers and industry practitioners a place to exchange fresh ideas and hands-on experience in intelligent computing, with attention to how its theories could be applied across engineering fields.
The work is the first of two volumes, the companion being Intelligent Data Engineering and Analytics. This part, titled Evolution in Computational Intelligence, covers a wide range of the discipline. Its contributions examine both the theory and the practice of artificial neural networks, genetic algorithms, evolutionary computing, intelligent control and optimization, machine learning, computer interaction, mobile computing, intelligent e-learning systems and multi-agent systems.
It is aimed at postgraduate students in several engineering disciplines, who can use it as a substantial reference.
