Faces & Lies

For more than a year, strangers have been getting into Devin Marques's house. Nothing valuable has been taken, but her sense of safety has been stripped away. Silent phone calls that end without a word reach her, a figure follows her through a shopping mall, and the police insist there is nothing they can do.

Devin has a horse show to compete in, and it falls on the one day her groom, Wendy Hilliard, vanishes under unsettling circumstances. Wendy had never taken a single day off since she was hired. Devin then begins receiving notes built from clipped words and letters. They accuse her of failing to notice a particular person, someone she eventually realizes must be part of her own social circle, and someone with the power to harm anything or anyone she holds dear. Who could it be, and what do they want?
