FAIRY TAIL Zero

Long before Fairy Tail became the most rowdy wizard guild in Fiore, its first master was a six-year-old girl who loved books. Mavis lives on Sirius Island with her best friend Zera, and her biggest wish is to meet a real fairy one day. Her quiet life is simple and sheltered, and she has no idea how far it is about to carry her.

In the year X686, treasure hunters storm the island and Mavis is forced to leave the only home she has known. What follows is a journey full of new faces and painful goodbyes, and she keeps each of them close as she grows. Somewhere along the road she works out what she truly wants to do with her life, and that goal leads to the birth of the guild.

This is a prequel to Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail series, telling the origin of the guild through the eyes of the girl who started it. It works as a self-contained adventure about growing up, and it gives longtime fans a look at where everything began.
