Fallen Academy

Brielle Atwater has little certainty in her life, but she is sure of three things: her black wings are wrong, she should never have traded her soul to demons, and Lincoln Grey is the most infuriating person she has ever met. Falling for him may be unavoidable.

In this world, fallen angels once descended to fight demons that had overrun Earth, and their power spread into humanity. Every person is now marked at birth as either demon gifted or angel blessed, and that label decides the path ahead.

Brielle expects wings at her awakening ceremony to confirm she is an angel blessed celestial. Instead, the wings are black, and she realizes something has gone badly wrong. Because she sold her contract as a young girl to save her father's life, she belongs at Tainted Academy. A fallen angel, however, pushes for her admission to Fallen Academy, the elite school serving those who live in Angel City.

Her assigned teacher is Lincoln Grey, a celestial who is almost unbearably attractive. Brielle first thinks school might be enjoyable, but she and Lincoln clash on the very first day. Then an Abrus demon exposes the secret she has been hiding, throwing the academy into turmoil and forcing Lincoln to protect her. He soon discovers that keeping her safe is hard, and keeping his distance from her is harder still.
