False Impressions

Megan Scott, a ghostwriter living in Montreal, becomes a suspect when her husband and another woman are discovered dead. A Québec detective believes the killings were driven by jealousy, but new evidence points toward Michael Elliott, a young investigative reporter. Michael has turned his back on the wealth he was born into and prefers the company of people on the wrong side of the law.

Suddenly out of her depth, Megan is drawn into Michael's world of criminal investigation. The two of them race to prove their innocence while an unseen adversary moves closer and endangers their lives. Who is behind the threats, and what do they want? Freedom depends on tracking down the killer before they become the next victims, yet in a situation where they cannot tell friend from foe, a wrong choice could be just as deadly.
