Fatal Serum

Ten years ago, Sam Abbot was a doctoral student who developed two remarkable serums. One could stop contagious illnesses before they spread, and the other could shield human lungs from the damage done by polluted air. He believed both had the potential to transform public health.

Drug manufacturers refused to take up his research, which left him stunned. With backing from an eccentric, independent-minded millionaire, he founded a company of his own. As the established firms began losing customers, they turned to a crooked United States senator, who worked to crush the upstart rival.

Just as Sam prepares for a holiday he has earned, his wife vanishes without explanation and he becomes the main suspect. Hunted and forced to run, he must confront the powerful interests that have shadowed his career if he is to protect himself and his wife. From the author of Avengement.
