Firebolt

Elena Watkins is sixteen and has always dismissed fairy tales as nonsense, so she is shocked when one of them is the reason her father dies. Her life has since moved to an unfamiliar world and an unfamiliar school, where nothing is what it seems.

Her new classmates bring their own dangers. The most attractive boy she has met could be a dragon with dark intentions, and a prince has set his sights on winning her heart. Meanwhile, a sorcerer who has been dead for ages may be stirring back to life with Elena in his sights.

To finish school, Elena must learn to fly a dragon of her own. The story follows her as she moves from doubt toward confidence in her own abilities.
