Fired Up!

This book will offer the reader specific and practical strategies to assess their work environment for factors that influence burnout and engagement, acknowledge findings (through transparent and responsive communication with their team), and act on what has been learned (stop doing what has not worked, keep doing what has worked, and start doing some new things). Fired Up! equips leaders with a roadmap to take their teams from burnout to engagement with real world examples and practical tools and resources that can be applied and implemented immediately. It serves as a starting point to help the reader understand burnout, engagement, and what is involved in undertaking an integrated and comprehensive approach to developing a plan. Inspired by the stories, anecdotes, and strategies included in the book, leaders will have a team that feels happier, more valued, and is performing better. By reading this book, people leaders will learn to assess their team/work environment, acknowledge current realities, and develop a plan of action . By undertaking these three steps, people leaders will build trust, foster innovation, reduce staff turnover, improve organizational commitment, promote overall wellbeing, demonstrate care and improve performance and productivity within their teams. By transforming their team, people leaders are better able to focus on strategic priorities, drive results, and demonstrate greater value to their organizations.
