First Grade Dropout

Across these pages, a first grader lists the many versions of himself he has been: starving, four years old, wildly restless, dripping wet. Mostly he is an ordinary boy, until one blunder convinces him he can never walk through the doors of Lakeview Elementary again.

Children in first grade and older readers alike will recognize the narrator's worries. The story shows that embarrassing moments usually shrink to size over time, and that some of them can even be funny.
