Five Little Ghosts

Five Little Ghosts takes the counting pattern of the nursery rhyme "Five Little Ducks" and gives it a Halloween makeover. It is a lift-the-flap picture book, made for sharing aloud at a spooky but gentle story time.

Mama Ghost leads her five small ghostlings on a float through a spooky forest. Their route takes them past a pumpkin patch, into a misty wood where they play peek-a-boo, and through a haunted house. Friendly, festive animals turn up along the way, and every page has plenty to look at.

Then something odd happens: the ghostlings start vanishing one at a time. Where could they have gone, and what are they up to? Young readers can lift the flaps to track each one down, and a surprise ending waits on the last page.
