Flight Risk

Flight Risk follows up Grave Reservations and reunites psychic travel agent Leda Foley with Seattle detective Grady Merritt. When a man asks Leda to help find his missing sister, she takes the case. The woman drove off in a vintage orange car, taking a large sum of cash from her employer, and she left behind a cheating husband who never reported her gone.

Grady, meanwhile, has lost track of his dog. While he is handing out bright pink lost-pet flyers at the visitor center on Mount Rainier, the animal returns carrying a human leg. DNA testing connects the limb to Leda's new client, and the two investigations soon become tangled. Police have few leads, so Leda offers a handful of theories that sound outlandish but might just work.

The pair will need a yellow dog, a lot of cooperation, and perhaps some Klairvoyant Karaoke to connect the clues. The novel pairs a conventional detective with an investigator whose gift is unreliable, giving the mystery a playful supernatural edge.
