Fly Free

Faerie is a realm where deception can pass for honesty. Sevelle and Jae were brought up as sisters, one destined to become the heir to the Court of the Day, the other her guardian. Now rebellion is spreading through the land, and a dark magic is cutting the court's faeries off from the land that sustains them, condemning them to a slow and painful death. Both sisters are forced to question everything they have accepted as true.

Sevelle, the Light of the Day, is meant to rule someday. She carries a rare gift that could repair the bond between faeries and the magic of the land, but she has yet to learn how to wield it or even locate it within herself. Jae works from the shadows, guarding Sevelle and collecting the court's whispers carried on the wind. She dreams of a life beyond the court but believes her duty to Sevelle must come first.

An offer from Lex, son of the rebel leader, changes the sisters' path and raises the possibility that the greatest danger may lie inside their own court. The journeys they set out on pull them apart, until a revealed secret threatens to sever their bond for good. Fly Free is the first book in the Light of Faerie young adult series, set amid a power struggle in a magical world, with romance appearing in unexpected places.
