For The Record

For the Record is David Cameron's account of his years in public life, including his time as Prime Minister. He tells the story of leading the Conservative Party back to power in 2010 and forming a coalition government.

The book looks at what it takes to run a country through difficult stretches: turning around an economy, handling a migration crisis and responding to a Europe that was changing fast. It also deals with one of the most consequential choices of his premiership, the decision to call a referendum on Britain's membership of the EU, and explains why he made it.
