Foreign Affairs

Stone Barrington is told at the last minute that he must attend a meeting overseas, so he packs up and heads for Europe, planning to mix the required business with plenty of pleasure. The trip does not go the way he expects. Almost from the moment he lands, strange "accidents" and mishaps start piling up, and a few of his plans end in actual flames. Stone is not inclined to write it all off as bad luck. He starts digging into what is behind the string of misfortunes, and begins to suspect that they were meant as a warning rather than a coincidence. His search takes him from the stylish streets of Paris to the dramatic coastline of southern Italy, with trouble following him at every stop. As the danger closes in from several directions, the situation begins to shift. The man being chased may be able to turn the chase around and start hunting whoever is behind it. Foreign Affairs is a installment in Stuart Woods's Stone Barrington series, a fast-moving thriller that mixes travel, intrigue and a hero who never lets work get in the way of a good time.
