Forest born

Forest Born is the fourth novel in Shannon Hale's Books of Bayern, a fantasy series that began with The Goose Girl. It centers on Rin, a quiet girl who has always been quick to lend a hand. She grew up in a home surrounded by tall trees, and the forest used to be her refuge. Lately, though, a secret has been gnawing at her, and the peace she once found among the trees has disappeared. Hoping to find some answers, Rin leaves home to join her older brother in the city. He is Razo, a character who also appears in the earlier Bayern books. Her journey there leads to explanations she was looking for, an adventure she never saw coming, and a sense of who she is that she had not expected to find.
