Formula-12

Formula-12 is a novella that opens in 1946, when Herr Dr. Schmitz is questioned by investigators after fleeing through German lines and then Allied ones. During the Second World War he worked for the Nazi regime, refining a weapon of frightening potential.

The story takes the form of a report that has reached the author's sources. In it, Schmitz gives his own version of what took place at a biological weapons laboratory just outside Berlin, setting down what he says really happened there.
