Fox Crossing

Fox Crossing is a small mountain village in Maine, and its name comes from a fox. According to local tradition, one of the town's founders spotted an unusual fox with a white ear and a white paw. That sighting gave the village its name and started a folk legend that has been retold for generations.

The legend holds that anyone lucky enough to see The Fox will be blessed with good fortune, love, and happiness. Not everyone believes it. Some residents regard the tale as nothing more than harmless local fancy.
