Freeing Massimo

Massimo Amatucci, known as the Wraith, is the lead enforcer for the Amatucci family. For years, anyone marked for death saw his face in their final moments. He has only recently discovered a daughter and reunited with her, and his greatest wish now is to scrub the blood from his hands for good.

In the criminal underworld, Eden Forester is called Shadow. Her sharp mind and steady nerves have made her an assassin whom others discuss only in hushed tones after dark. When she is not helping Massimo with his daughter, she works at living as an ordinary woman.

Then enemies from both of their pasts strike dangerously close to home. Eden and Massi must unite to eliminate the threat aimed at the family they are building together. Neither of them has ever done anything halfway. Can they extinguish the darkness of the sins they committed long ago, or will the blackness of their former lives swallow the future they are trying to make?

This is the seventh book in Sadie Jacks's Amatucci Family series, a dark mafia saga. Readers who enjoy characters who have survived hard things and will go to any length to protect the people they love should find this family worth rooting for throughout.
