Frozen Mountain

After an emergency landing leaves you lost among snowy peaks, you have to find your way out of the wilderness. The cold can slowly drain your body heat, an avalanche can bury you without warning, and a hidden crevasse could open up beneath your feet. You set out with a sleeping bag, a rolled thermal mat, a water bottle, a bag of nuts, waterproof matches, binoculars, a camera, a first aid kit, and an old survival journal that once belonged to your grandfather.

This is a game played inside the pages. Whenever you face a life-threatening challenge, lay the Survival Spinner, which comes loose from inside the front cover, onto one of the circles on your current page and give it a spin. The spot where it comes to rest shows whether you have survived, are alive but hurt, or have died, and a page number directs you where to turn next. Along the way you pick up real survival techniques, and accounts of real people who lived through wilderness emergencies offer hope as you live with the results of your choices. One bad decision could bring disaster.

Frozen Mountain is the first book in the Spin to Survive series. Using your decisions together with the detachable spinner, you find your route through the wild country while learning practical survival tips and true stories. Do you have what it takes to make it out alive?
