Simple geometric forms come together to make a cast of animal characters in this board book. Three shapes form a fish, and the book asks small readers to predict which animal four shapes will make. Each answer appears when the page turns.

As the pages go on, new creatures appear one at a time as shapes are layered and combined. The animals also try to build something of their own, which leads to funny moments. Guessing, visual storytelling and humor keep the pace lively, and the book shows children how small parts can add up to something larger.
