A picture book about how small, everyday acts of kindness can brighten another person's day and, in turn, ripple outward to change the wider world. Its ideas echo familiar notions such as paying kindness forward, doing random good deeds, the Golden Rule, and choosing to be kind.

The book is aimed at the grown-ups who guide young children, including parents, teachers, grandparents, aunts and uncles, who hope to nurture compassion, generosity and selflessness in the children in their lives. Jen Arena's quiet, tender text is paired with Rahele Jomepour Bell's colorful, richly detailed illustrations.
