God & Alligators

Chris Boutte's memoir looks back at the difficult circumstances of his childhood and the obstacles he had to face while growing up. He examines his relationship with his father and the lasting effect that bond had on the course of his life. Later, a dependence on alcohol pulled him into a steep decline that changed the direction of his days for the worse.

Boutte describes how his own persistence and inner strength helped him rebuild himself into a stronger person and reach the goals he set for his life. He tells these experiences through a collection of stories that are largely true, all gathered in God & Alligators.
