Good Place

Four insect friends are searching for somewhere to live, and each one wants something different. Bee loves flowers, Ladybug prefers leaves, Beetle is fond of dead wood, and Dragonfly likes ponds. Each time they find a spot that seems ideal, with lovely blooms, a tiny pond, a piece of dead wood or lush green leaves, they discover a problem. It might be underfoot, close to traffic, or unsafe in some other way. Will they ever find a good place?

This picture book comes from Lucy Cousins, the creator of Maisy, and shows her bold artwork and endearing characters. It carries a gentle environmental message, showing children that even in a city, encouraging wildlife and natural ecosystems can make a healthy and beautiful habitat for everyone.
