Grand
About This Book
Gromit, the famously silent dog from Wallace & Gromit, finally speaks up. The book presents his memoir, handed over to Nick Park, the four-time Academy Award winner who created the duo. Gromit is the world's most intelligent and well-read dog, and he opens by acknowledging how odd it is to be a dog who has written a book. The project was supposed to be Wallace's story. Wallace, the duo's inventor, has been working on a machine that was meant to write the book, but for now he is standing on the dining table, and Gromit is wondering why he fitted a typewriter with wheels and a flame-thrower. The two have an agreement about new inventions, with a list pinned to the fridge on which no flame-throwers is item number three. With Wallace's version stalled, Gromit takes over and tells his own story, an account of what goes on behind his eyes. He also points out that he knows where all the bones are buried.
