Grumpy Monkey Play All Day

Jim Panzee wakes up one morning and decides he will do nothing but play all day. Tidying his branch, finding bananas for lunch and even taking a bathroom break all get dodged, because to Jim nothing matters more than having fun. Like many children, he is very good at avoiding his responsibilities.

Instead he swings with the monkeys, sings with the birds and rolls around with the zebras. When his friends head home, Jim simply finds new animal friends so the play can carry on.

By evening, though, Jim is dirty, itchy and hungry. His best friend Norman tells him patiently that too much of anything can be, well, too much. This humorous picture book in the Grumpy Monkey series pokes fun at procrastination and shows what happens when play is all you do. It is illustrated by Max Lang.
