Hazelthorn

Evander has lived like a ghost in the forgotten corners of the Hazelthorn estate since he was a child, when his reclusive billionaire guardian, Byron Lennox-Hall, took him in. For his safety he has three ironclad rules. He can never leave the estate. He can never go into the gardens. And he can never again be left alone with Byron's charming, underachieving grandson, Laurie.

That last rule dates from seven years ago, when Laurie tried to kill Evander. Somehow Evander is still obsessed with him.

When Byron suddenly dies, Evander inherits the huge gothic mansion, its sprawling grounds and the entire Lennox-Hall fortune. There is one condition: until he turns eighteen, he must choose a new guardian from among Laurie's scheming, backstabbing relatives to help manage the estate.

Evander is convinced Byron was murdered, and Laurie may be the only person who can help him find the killer before they come for him next. Meanwhile the overgrown garden refuses to stay behind its walls, pushing its vines and spores deeper into the house each day. As the family's dark secrets come to light and the bloodthirsty garden grows more alive, Evander must learn what he is really inheriting before it demands to be fed again.
