Heckedy Peg

Heckedy Peg is a picture book about seven children who are changed by an evil witch into different kinds of food. It is a dark fairy-tale story, and it was written by Audrey Wood and illustrated by Don Wood.

The children in the story are named for the days of the week. Their mother goes off to market and leaves them at home, which is when the witch arrives.
