Hellboy Universe Essentials

The Lobster is a figure who has inspired Hellboy, the best-known agent of the B.P.R.D., and helped turn him into a crime fighter who works with the occult. Yet the question remains: did the Lobster ever exist, or is he only legend? This volume lets readers investigate that mystery, and Hellboy's creator, Mike Mignola, chose it as an accessible entry point for anyone new to Lobster Johnson.

Mignola wrote the story with John Arcudi, Tonci Zonjic drew the art, and Dave Stewart handled the colors. The result is a gritty, striking homage to the classic pulp adventure stories that comics fans enjoy.

The book gathers the five issues of Lobster Johnson: The Burning Hand.
